Alec Deland is a writer-director and a recent graduate from Princeton University's film Program.
Produced by a student team, "On the Sidewalk, at Night" is Alec's first year work.
Nominated for a Best Directorial Debut by a Young Filmmaker Award, the film won a Director's Choice Award from the Thomas Edison Film Festival as well as Official Selections from Academy Award Qualifying deadCenter Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival and Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Produced by independent artists, “Vroom Vroom” is Alec’s second year work and thesis short film.
Winner of the Gold Remi Award at World Fest-Houston International Film Festival, the film is currently in its festival run with Official Selections from Academy Award Qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival Heartland, deadCenter Film Festival, Holly Shorts Film Festival and Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival.
